FIRST – a 3 season cedar yurt – the cheapest of all our yurts. You make the floor, you pick up the kit and you install the yurt. NO sub trades included (electrical, plumbing etc.) NO insulation but real glass windows and a real door. Check below for pictures and budget pricing – Look for FIRST below
SECOND – no permits required but a nice warm, well insulated cedar yurt. This yurt features our new micro insulated log, insulated floor and a standing seam metal roof. NO sub trades (electrical, plumbing etc.) Real glass windows that open with bug screens and a real door. Check below for pictures and budget pricing Look for SECOND below
THIRD – is a well insulated yurt with a set of blue prints signed off by an engineer, ready to apply for a building permit. Click on the link under THIRD below to see what is involved from start to finish
BUDGET PRICING for our solid cedar walled yurts are
21 foot diameter is $24,500 346 square feet
24 foot diameter is $27,500 452 square feet
27 foot diameter is $29,900 572 square feet
30 foot diameter is $35,500 706 square feet
You receive 2 windows that open with real glass and bug screens,
one person door at 36″ wide with half glass, 8′ high solid 2″ x 6″ cedar walls,
a center ring with bubble and rafters to hold up your vinyl roof.
Platform / floor is NOT included in the pricing and neither is the tin foil insulation layer you see on top of the rafters under the vinyl roof in the right image below.
Yurt walls are only 1 1/2″ thick with a ball and socket joint as seen here
Our windows are made in complete sections with curved headers to support any snow loads. These are premade right in our plant.
You can have 1 window or gang several together as seen here. Each window after 2 will cost $1,800

A fairly well insulated yurt (walls are R-12), insulated floor (R-20) and a standing seam metal roof. Nice and warm but still not able to get a building permit as it does NOT meet all aspects of the building code. If you do NOT require permits, this is the yurt for you.
